Professional
titles and academic degrees which can be obtained in the
Faculty:
Undergraduate
students who have successfully completed the reguirements
of the three-year Licentiate programme are granted the degree
(B. A.) (Licentiate of Philology).
Undergraduate students who have successfully completed the
requirements of the five-year Master's programme are granted
the degree ( M. A.) (Master of Philology).
A four-year doctoral programme is also offered by the Faculty
. Its completion leads to obtaining the academic degree
of (Ph. D.) (Doctor of the Humanities).
The Faculty Council has the right to grant the highest academic
degree available in Poland, the postdoctoral degree in
the humanities. This degree is obligatory in order for a
candidate to obtain the highest academic title of "titular
professor" (Professor Exstraordinarius/Ordinarius).
