A welcome from the Vice-Rector

This catalogue was designed to serve as a guide for all those who are interested in learning opportunities that are offered at Adam Mickiewicz University. It will provide the reader with detailed information concerning research opportunities, as well as the names of the academic staff.
Adam Mickiewicz University was founded in 1919. It developed into one of the largest academic centers in Poland with over 2,100 faculty members and over 49,000 students. It is organized into 13 different faculties, which offer one of the highest levels of education in Poland.
The guide offers a brief history of the University, and in a series of chapters each faculty is briefly described. The directory is organized in a coherent way so that it is easy for the reader to find any information needed.
