ERASMUS POLICY STATEMENT 2007-2013
A high quality of academic mobility is going to be ensured through:
1. recruiting students for the Erasmus Programme on the basis of their learning achievements, knowledge of the language, and activity in academic life: scientific, artistic, sporting, etc.
2. full recognition of the stay-abroad period on the basis of the Learning Agreement and a positive assessment of the study period by the partner school (Transcript of Records),
3. implementation of the ECTS system at all directions of study,
4. a system of faculty co-ordinators and supervisors of bilateral agreements responsible for constant contact with the partner school and providing students with information about curricula,
5. information and materials about partner schools available in the AMU Foreign Co-operation Department,
6. organising various European language courses, a compulsory examination in the language of classes conducted at the partner school,
7. organising preparatory and refresher languag
e courses for students and staff,
8. organising international thematic summer academies (e.g. Polish-German),
9. providing accommodation for foreign students in higher-standard halls of residence, organising trips around Poland for them and integration parties in student clubs, engaging them in the University cultural and sporting life,
10. organising free intensive courses of the Polish language and culture (the AMU Polish Language School),
11. a tutoring system: AMU students taking care of foreign students throughout their stay in Poznań (individual tutoring programme - body, two-way language instruction - tandem),
12. improving the quality of instruction through the exchange of AMU teaching staff, inviting eminent specialists from abroad, employing new teaching methods learnt abroad, improving language skills of staff, intensifying existing co-operation, and preparing new joint teaching activities.
13. improving the service of incoming and outgoing students (use of the Internet for document circulation).
